RECYCLED SKETCH JOURNAL
Reuse materials around your home to make your own sketchbook.
Artists use sketchbooks to practice drawing, explore art materials, plan bigger projects, and store ideas for future projects.
You can draw, collage, paint, or write on the pages of your sketch journal.
Gather different papers around your home that you can reuse. Be sure to watch the video in the attached lesson for demonstrations.

WINDOW TO MY WORLD
Let artist Betye Saar and your imagination inspire you to create a window with a view.
Use the instructions, videos and resources below to take a look at Betye Saar's "Black Girl's Window."
What do you notice in her window?
Look out a window in your home. What do you see? What do you wish you could see?
Use a box or bag to create a 3-D window. Add drawings or photos to create your "view."
